Women

Calling all women! Whether you’re looking for friendship, fun, or a deeper walk with Christ, you’ll find it in Hillcrest Women! Throughout the year, our Women’s Ministry provides opportunities to enjoy fellowship, Bible Study, and service projects with other women just like you!

Here are some great things to look forward to!

Holiday Celebration: “Silent Night, Holy Night”

Saturday, Nov 20 | 6-8p | Northwest Hall

We celebrate Christmas and Thanksgiving with a beautiful holiday dinner just for women. Each table is decorated by a different hostess. We’ll share an elegant meal and be served by the men of Hillcrest. Tickets and information are available in the Worship Center Lobby. Bring your friends to this dramatic evening event – and celebrate that Silent, Holy Night! Look for our ticket table on Sunday mornings or contact the Church Office during the week for tickets ($12).

Women’s Discipleship and Life Focus Groups!

Each Spring and Fall semester, take part in a 6- to 12-week group focused on a Christian book or Bible Study. This is a great way to jumpstart your faith – and your friendships!

Fall Missions/Service Morning: “Inside Out”

Saturday Morning, September 25 | 9:00a-100p | Northwest Hall

We meet at the church on a Saturday morning and divide into teams, then we go out to reach Pensacola with God’s amazing love! We’re back for lunch and debrief, sharing what God did through our willing hands and feet! Team projects have included bringing cheer to residents of hospitals or nursing homes, spreading the gospel, teaching children in apartment complexes about Jesus, mentoring women in recovery, staying at church to make encouragement notes and gifts for hurting women, and many more! Come join us as we turn our Women’s Ministry INSIDE OUT!

Ministry Teams include the following:

Team 1: Baptist Manor Nursing Home
If you have a heart for senior adults, this is the team you want to join! We will be fellowshipping with the residents, playing bingo, and handing out small gifts and lots of smiles and hugs!

Team 2: Gift Bags and Love Notes
If you scrapbook and do other crafty-type things, you may want to sign up for this team. These ladies will be staying on campus, making gift bags and writing notes of encouragement to ladies in our community who need to know that we and God love them!

Team 3: Florida Baptist Children’s Home
This year, we are planning a cooking project with the kids! This team will be limited to 8 members, so if this sounds like fun to you, reserve your spot right away!

Team 4: Favor House
We did a beautification project for them last year and they LOVED it! They are excited to have us come back again this year for a similar activity with, hopefully, some of their residents helping out! If you like to garden and work with flowers and plants, this is a perfect fit for you!

Team 5: Prayer Walking
Calling all prayer warriors!! We need you to pray for our community! Specifics to be announced!

Team 6: Safe Harbor
This will also be a beautification project and the team will split into two smaller teams, one to work at the main location and one to work at the Baby Boutique. Bring your work gloves, ladies!

Team 7: Fresh Grounded Faith
This team will specifically be promoting the Fresh Grounded Faith event by going to a predetermined, high-traffic location and passing out a little treat with information about the event attached to it. This is a great opportunity to get the word out about this AWESOME event!

Team 8: Bethany Christian Services
We will be partnering with the nation’s largest adoption agency to help them build relationships with local doctors and hospitals by helping deliver some goodies and notes of introduction to area hospitals. BCS is offering a tour of their Pensacola office on Thu., Sept., 25th at 6pm for anyone who is interested in finding out more about them. Reservations required.

Team 9: Emerald Coast Hospice
This team will be going in twos and threes to visit patients in a couple different locations. We will be delivering hand-knit and crocheted afghans (supplied by other volunteers) to these patients and fellowshipping and loving on them.

Canned Food & Gently-Used Clothing Drive
We thought this would be an ideal time to help stock up the Food Pantry, so we are asking everyone to bring one canned food item or other non-perishable to the Inside Out event to be donated. Also, if you have a piece of gently-used clothing you would like to give, we will be giving those to the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church for their Clothes Closet.
Thank you ahead of time for your participation in this opportunity to give!
