Dr. Brian Barlow
Brian has served as pastor of missions at Hillcrest since 2008. Before coming to Hillcrest, Brian and his wife Vicki served for fifteen years with the International Mission Board, SBC in West Africa (Liberia, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Guinea) and the Middle East (Jordan).
During the Barlow’s last IMB assignment, Brian served as Director of the Baptist School of Amman. Under his leadership, the school was recognized as being one of the top private Jordanian national schools in the kingdom and one of the top schools in the Middle East.
Brian earned his masters and doctorate degrees in education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds a B.A. in history and an M.B.A. from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and is a graduate of J. M. Tate High School in Gonzalez, Florida.
As part of Hillcrest’s global mission outreach, Brian developed Hillcrest International Educational Initiatives Program. This program specializes in teaching ESL, TOEFL, Priority Phonics, and Character Education to non-native English speakers.
Brian and Vicki have three children – John, Anna, and Sarah.
