DNOW 2019

REGISTER NOW What is DNOW? DNOW is short for ‘Disciple NOW’ and is a weekend retreat (Feb 22-24, 2019) specifically designed for students (6th-12th grade) that focuses on discipleship and fellowship. Discipleship is taught in a large group setting where everyone is together and also in age-graded small groups led by spiritually mature college students in host homes. Who is leading DNOW? Will Snipes (@snipeswill) will be our guest speaker for the weekend. Worship will be led by Iron City Worship (@ironcityworship). How much does it cost? Registration: Jan 1st-Jan 31st – $75 per student (Family pricing: $125 for 2 or more students)  Late registration: Feb 1st-Feb 17th – $100 per student (Family pricing: $150 for 2 or more students) Payments are non-refundable and are due upon registration When is the deadline to register? The deadline to register for DNOW is Sunday, February 17th What else do I need to know? This year for DNOW, we have a few “extras” to make the weekend even greater! Wednesday night, February 20th: 6:30-8:00p DNOW Kick-Off Night – Hillcrest Nine Mile Gym  Inflatables and games in the gym to officially begin DNOW fun!  Thursday night, February 21st: 6:00-8:00p DNOW Release Party – Hillcrest Nine Mile Northwest Hall  Students will eat pizza, find out their weekend homes/groups, and enjoy a fun concert!  Friday night, February 22nd: 6:15p DNOW Weekend BEGINS – Hillcrest Nine Mile Student Center What if I have any more questions? Matters of the Heart | Women’s One Day Conference

Hillcrest Women, join us for a one-day conference on Matters of the Heart. Guest speaker is Janet Aucoin, with worship led by Harmony Chason. Register online at hillcrestchurch.com. (Registration opens Sunday, February 10)   Breakout Sessions  The Heart of a Woman and the Sufficiency of Scripture Nadine Kimsal A woman’s heart can be complicated. Our emotions can run deep, and our thoughts can be consuming. We have many responsibilities that can weigh heavy on our hearts. At times we find ourselves battling anxiety, fear, and worry. Does the Bible speak to those issues? Does God’s Word tell us how to handle the stressors of this life? In this breakout session we will see what God says about the sufficiency of Scripture and how to overcome the anxieties of a woman’s heart. Decision Making and the Will of God Vicky Bell We spend our lives making decisions and living with the consequences of the decisions we have made. As Christians, we know that God is involved in our decision making, but how?  Do the Scriptures teach that we are to “put out a fleece,” seek a “sign of confirmation,” or wait for a “peace about it?”  What about hearing the “voice” of God, or waiting to “feel led by the Spirit?”  This session will explore various conventional “methods” used today for discerning “God’s will,” and offer an alternative model for making God-honoring decisions based on clear and sound Scriptural teaching.
